The longest recorded mane and tail on the same horse is held by Linus II, a horse from Oregon with a tail 19 ft long, a mane on each side 13ft long, and a forelock of 5ft 6 inches. Linus II was 16.2 hands tall, and weighed 1435 pounds! Photos circa 1890s by W.B. Pickett, taken in Salem Oregon.
